My car

With mom's sponsorship, I have my own car. It is red buick HRV from General Motor, but of coz made in China lah. There are other colors like silver, dark blue etc. At first sight, I love the dark blue one, but mom and dad strongly recommended red to me. Since they are the actual owner of the car, I took the advice. Not long after I made the order, dad secretly told me, actually he personally thinks the dark blue one cool. Faint!!! Here above are the photos taken this morning when the sun finally shows its face. Hmmm, should not waste such a good sunny day, am thinking to go out for a drive. Hee hee.

Tour in Zhouzhuang

Accompanied guests from States to tour zhouzhuang, the most famous water town today. They are a couple who are fascinating about chinese culture and an Ang-Mor who likes photoshooting. The couple is american asian, the husband can speak little cantonese and read Louis Cha's fictions. It is really great to meet sb u share the same hobby, what's more he is so knowledgable. Confucius said, "三人行必有我师焉" ie. if three of us are walking together, at least one of the other two is good enough to be my teacher.

When night fell, we boarded on a pleasure boat, embarking on the journey tracing the old grand canal. Dinner was served in the spacious cabin, and performance by a couple of local artists were arranged singing with suzhou dialect. It was wonderful tour. Never thought Suzhou would be so beautiful at night.

Nobody

If one feels not fairly treated, or undervalued, should not feel bad, coz u r doing a great thing, "serve ppl with heart and soul". Sadz~~ I am not Saint. Yet, as a nobody, what can do is complaint in a corner, then accept reality and go back to usual life.

Movie day

Based on the fascinating true stories of an astonishing woman-Corinne Hofmann. One feels compelled to admire her, to be overwhelmed by her vast optimism, bravery and determination to endure whatever hardship for the sake of such an epic love. Few of us would have the courage to take such a magnificent step into the unknown but Corinne did it. I loved her and I loved Lemalian too, but I also felt a sadness for them because their love seemed doomed from the start.

Thank Yue for providing such a good movie, a warm place to appreciate the movie, snacks including my favorite walnut and of coz a diversified dinner. Feel like home, and leave this damp and gloomy day all behind.

Gosh, very bad news, since this week, I could not view my blog, read the comments, add photo etc. Though I can sign in now and add a new post in edit mode, seems that all I can do is just limited to this. Orh, not so sure if you gals can see this message, coz I can not.

New job

As u may know from my sms or email, I came to Suzhou - the paradise on the earth. The company recommended a place - Youth Apartment, fully furnished ready to move in. After 1st visit, I have made up mind, ya, it is my new home. My flatmate, my new colleague as well, came from Tai Cang, a city nearby. She is one year younger than me and has a good character. Got a roof to 遮风挡雨 and made acqaintance with an easy going girl friend, I was content.

As for my new job, it is still question mark. Among 5 newcomers, I start work first. So the boss just told me to get familiar with the new enviroment bah. But how? The depart was newly established. Those "seniors" also have no idea. You see, I am in office now and suffing internet.

Shop shop shop till drop

Just now criticized by shi, I am a prodigal daughter...Sadz... Recently I addict myself to online-shopping. I have bought socks, clothes, shoes, books, cosmetics thru internet in the past few months, today made new orders of accessories (korean style earings, 3 pair) and a bag for my precious Canon DSLR. Honestly speaking, I did compare the price lah. Won't do the irrational thing like overdraft. Buying stuff not necessary is not irrational. Ha!

Online-shopping is different from traditional shopping, which can save a lot of time and energy, but there is high risk to get cheated in terms of money loss (u paid for nothing) or goods loss (the quality far below ur expectations). To identify a reliable seller becomes very impt. So far, I find it quite fun and all deals satisfactory. It doesn't mean, I will abandon the traditional way of shopping, after all, that is my only physical excise. Sb. once asked me what is my favorte sport? Shopping of coz, as I am a complete sports idiot. Woman likes shopping, is as true as the earth is round. Some women can shop till drop. I am. Are you?

Itinerary : suzhou - tongli - shanghai

Was away for a couple of days. Suzhou first, for job related issues. I accepted the offer in SIPAC. So, gals, if time permits, plz drop by and visit me anytime in Suzhou. I finally could make up my mind and felt less stressed.

Annie and I sticked together in and out, from day to night, like conjoined twin sisters. She was weaning her baby from breasht and could not see her son. Like many other young mothers, she underwent the sufferings of weaning. Her swollen breast was as big as football, could not lie down to sleep the first two days. After she felt better, I took her to Tongli, an ancient water town, where I had visited once before, so that she might forget abt the pain for temp. She seemed quite enjoy life back to before she was pregnant. ha ha...

Before going back, Richard my bro-in-law need attend a few meeting in shanghai. Following him, we checked in at Ritz-carlton hotel, a diamond star hotel located in the most bustling area. Traffic in shanghai is horrible, but it is the paradise of the rich. I want to be as rich as possible. It is my goal I will strive after for my rest of life.

Today went to Shanghai with annie, bought some stuff from IKEA and picked up richard my bro-in-law from airport. On the way home, saw a rear-end accident, 2nd time within one week. OMG! I shall think twice whether to buy a car or not now.

Half day trip in Huaxi village

In case you dun know: Huaxi village is the richest village in China, so called "No. 1 village of China". The village owns many business in various industries and generates incredible revenue every year. Every Huaxi villagers' household has each been assigned a car and a single-family villa of abt 400 square metres; services ranging from power and gas to medical insurance are also guaranteed. The communism thought "becoming rich together" is not just Utopia. More or less the Huaxi-ers have proven it. Btw, the village is located in east of Jiangyin orh.

Shi's family initiated this trip, received well response by annie and me. We set off in the morning. On the way, Shi's mom told us during Culture Revolution, a quite special and dark period in history, when all high school graduates must go to remote countryside to receive so called "re-education" from the peasants, she came here in huaxi and spent 3 yrs and 3 months of her golden time. So it is a place full of memory huh. Do you have one in your life too?

Buying tickets at the entrance, Autie Shi recognized her old friend Autie Zhang. They used to be roommates, what a coincidence! Autie Zhang was very warmhearted and insisted to do the honors, showing us around, introducing and treating us a sumputuous lunch at local restaurant.

Queens of Karaoke

Today Annie left her son Ryan behind and went out with me for fun. We shopped around with nothing to buy, so decided going for karaoke with Shi. The one we went to was newly renovated. It was abt 1:30pm, and all small rooms were already taken. A guy on security guard uniform led us to a VIP room, very big one with exclusive toilet and good sound system. He wanted to charge us RMB200 for the room which we thought too expensive. From the guy's look, we knew it negotiable. No doubt that women are born to like bargaining. With three women here...., hee hee hee hee~. In the end, we had a real bargin at price of RMB120. Yeah!

Golden week

... starts from today, National Day of China. Cookies's post reminded me it is also Children's Day in Singapore. Hmmm, happy children's day to cookies, jojo, ah do, vicky and ling.

Today, my prior and only assignment was to pick up my sister's family from airport. Had early lunch and left home at around 11am due to a bad weather. On the highway the traffic was quite smooth. When reaching airport, was abt 2pm. The flight arrived at 3pm on time. Pudong airport had different scene, noisy and crowded, always like that. There was also something special in air, many cameramen walked around, seemed like reporters, and many young girls in an excited state of mind. I soon found out today came two super-stars, one korean whom I really no idea and the other from HK, Nicholas Tse Ting Fung, well-known by chinese from 8 to 80s. When Nicholas walked out of the exit gate, wah lau, screams and flash lights were everywhere. How crazy these fans. After Tse was away, came out my sis, my nephew Ryan and sis's parents-in-law. I have not seen my nephew for almost 5 months, the little grew up liao, thinner than before, still very cute.

On way home, Ryan just slept very tight. We adults gossiped to kill time. Only when reaching hometown, saw something very scary. On the highway, our reverse direction, a coach was rear-ended by a car. And the coach was on big fire. The traffic was completely blocked causing a mile-long queue. Dun know the casualty. God bless all the passengers!

Life is like a box of chocolate. You never what you're gonna get. Cherish now.

Going for last round interview this afternoon. Have been waiting for this moment for over 1 month. Turned down other offer and put aside all other business, just for this damned position. The competition is so stiff that up to now, I still have 15 rivals. Sigh, why my country has such a big population huh!!! Whatever, dressed up and complete my show.

Hey, I am back. As usual, all arrived earlier. My number was 11. Damn it, had to sit idly in meeting room for at least 2 hrs. The interview took no more than 10 min. Could not remember all questions but one, "are you married?". I hesitated 2-3 seconds and answered "no". Very calm at that moment.

No good news as of yet.

Got a new haircut

I spent a few days in Nanjing at Yeendy's. Thursday was aware I would have not enough time to travel in Lijiang(it was as per original plan). So I rewarded myself with a new haircut. This is second time I got my hair curled. Basically, I am a complete slacker. For me, it is a sin to take half hour or more just on hairstyling every morning. I would rather have a little more sleep~~~

Turn over a new leaf

Had a very hard time in past few months. The world changes so fast, so do people. Someone hurt me badly, but I know more friends are caring about me. Though the lover is gone, I am not on my own. The worst is over, there is nothing I shall feel afraid of any more. Specially, take this chance to express my gratitude to juli, jo, vicky, ling, shi, yeendy and dane.
